Your busy life demands flexibility. Just about everything you can do at our branches can be done online, either at home or on the go. It’s quite literally the branch that never sleeps (because we have to).

 

Making a Mobile Check Deposit

Step 1

Make sure the name that the check is written to is on the account.

Step 2

This is the important part!...Endorse the check with your signature, account number and write "For Mobile Deposit Only" (Note: some checks have a pre-printed checkbox with the words "Mobile Deposit Only" on the back - it is ok to check this box instead of writing it out).

Step 3

Open the UFirst Mobile app, select the "Deposit" icon at the bottom of the screen, then "Deposit a Check". Complete the steps using these tips!

  • Ensure your check is properly endorsed as explained above otherwise it will be rejected
  • When taking a picture of the check, place the check on a dark, non-reflective surface and flatten out the check.
  • Make sure the enitire
  • Carefully enter the check amount

Step 4

You can check the status of your deposit through the app. Status will show pending, accepted or failed. If the deposit failed, please contact us to find out why.

Rules & Deposit Times

After you have successfully deposited a check, its status will be "Submitted" until it is reviewed by one of our team members for deposit.

  • The maximum amount per deposit, per day is $5,000, per account. The maximum deposit amount for one check is $2,500, per day.
  • Our cutoff time for accepting mobile deposits is 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Deposit items received after 4:30 pm, or on non-business days, will be processed on the next business day (Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays). 

Most checks are eligible for mobile deposit except for the following types:

  • Checks payable to any person other than you. 
  • Checks payable to you jointly with one or more other persons, unless deposited into an account in the name of all payees.
  • Checks that have been previously negotiated (including checks that may have been returned), remotely created or checks more than 6 months old (stale dated).
  • Checks drawn on a financial institution located outside the United Stated or not in the United States currency.
  • Checks or items on which you are aware that a stop payment order has been issued or for which there are insufficient funds.
