UFirst FCU Scholarship Program

Applications for 2024 are now open! 

The UFirst Federal Credit Union Scholarship Competition offers a total of $5,000 in scholarships to assist members planning to further their education. 

Scholarship for High School Seniors

We invite members in their senior year of high school to apply for our Cash for Class Scholarship, which awards three $1,000 scholarships to high school students planning to enter college. Deadline for submission is April 15th, 2024.

Please be sure to click and read the rules for the scholarships before submitting an application as there are requirements that need to be provided along with the application. 

Applying for the 2024 Cash for Class Scholarship: 

To be considered for this scholarship, you must: 

  • Be a member of UFirst Federal Credit Union (holding an account in your name) in good standing at the time of application. If you are not a UFirst member, please click here to open an account or contact us at 518.324.5700. 
  • Be a graduating high school senior. 
  • Be attending an accredited college or university for the 2024-2025 school year. 
  • Demonstrate high achievement in your academic performance and activities. 
  • Complete the application and provide the required documentation and submission requirements as described in the 'Cash for Class Rules.'

Scholarship for Ages 18 and above

In addition, we invite members, ages 18 and older, who are continuing their education to apply for our New Beginnings Scholarship, which awards two $1,000 scholarships to those pursuing a skilled trade career. 

Eligibility Requirements: 
  • Be a member of UFirst Federal Credit Union (holding an account in your name) in good standing at the time of application. If you are not a UFirst member, please click here to open an account or contact us at 518.324.5700.
  • Be a post high school student or adult. 
  • Be attending a career technical education program, trade school, or be enrolled and majoring in a technical field at a college/university within the calendar year. (Funds can be used for tuition costs, equipment or tools for our trade, and professional dues and/or certifications).
  • Complete the application and provide the required documentation and submission requirements as described in the 'New Beginnings.'
