Board Nominations

Credit Unions are Member-Owned

As a credit union, we are 100% member-owned. That means you have a voice at the table.

Credit Unions are not-for-profit cooperatives that help their members realize their financial goals and dreams. Members are considered "owners" of the credit union and as such elect other members to serve on the Board of Directors. It is the Directors responsibility to set credit union policies, objectives and long-term goals and oversee the safety and soundness as well as the strategic direction of the credit union. Once elected, Directors have the unique opportunity to share their expertise, leadership skills and management capabilities in a team effort. Our Board of Directors serve on a volunteer basis, but their time and dedication to serving is extremely important to the overall growth and operation of the credit union.

Board Nominees Announced

The Nominating Committee has nominated three candidates for UFirst FCU's Board of Directors. William D. Laundry and Michael Caraballo have both been nominated for re-election. Associate Director, Ron Deragon, has been nominated for election to the Board of Directors to fill a vacancy. These three (3) Directors have agreed to run for re-election and to serve three-year terms. Their terms will expire in 2027.

UFirst FCU members who were not nominated by the committee, but would like to run for election, may pursue nomination by petition. The petition must be signed by 1% of the membership, which is at least 100 members, to the Nominating Committee no later than August 16th, 2024

Elections will be held at the 2024 Annual Meeting and will be conducted by ballot. The election will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor when the number of nominees equals the number of positions to be filled.
